Switch 2, thoughts?

Mostly trying to get used to using forums again, but figured I'd post this.

What are your thoughts on the Switch 2? I will probably wait until I see how it holds up after people have had it for a year. I imagine they will do a "refresh" version in a year or two, and maybe I will go for that, but we'll see. I did also hear they'll be pushing away from physical media even more, which I am not a fan of, given what happened to the DS digital media.

As an owner of a steam deck and a switch I gotta say I enjoy the switch more. The steam deck is nice for customizability but it’s unreliable with its battery and it’s bulky so it’s hard to just pull out and play on when I’m sitting around for a bit.

I love my Steam Deck lol I have a Switch but I don't think I'll even consider a Switch 2 until the price comes down a ton or they make a revision with more to offer. I doubt they will though, I am even hearing rumors they will increase the subscription cost you need to use the party chat on it

I already put in a request to preorder it. Im sorry but considering it can run cyberpunk, elden ring, AND will be getting the new fromsoftware game, I gotta get it.

I imagine the steam deck will still be a bit more powerful, but the switch 2 will probably have a more reliable battery life and more stable performance.

70 dollars for a digital version of a new game isn't terrible, I don't think. It's higher than 60 sure, but its been 60 for like the past 10 years, so when you think about it, it's pretty fair considering inflation.

The console price too.

you'll have to tell me how it is. My biggest put off right now that is holding me back besides price is the battery life sounds like it'll be worse than the Switch LOL Which for me being always out and about battery life is always a consideration, though I do carry around multiple high capacity battery banks
